Security Specification: PEPL abrasive meets this security specification, which requires non-metallic abrasive materials, used in the blast cleaning of metal surfaces and glass reinforced plastic surfaces. This includes ships’ hulls and tanks, for removing rust, scale, old paint and marine growth and to provide surfaces that are clean and suitable for painting.
PEPL blasting abrasive applications span a wide range of industries and applications to remove surface coatings and contaminants such as rust, paint, and scale.
It is used frequently as a blasting abrasive on seafaring vessels, tanks, aggregate exposure, castings, structural steel, buildings, railroad equipment and bridges.
PEPL roofing granules can be found throughout the asphalt shingle, modified bitumen, and foam urethane industries.4) Other uses for PEPL coal slag products encompass water filtration, mineral filter media, sealcoat aggregates and nonskid coatings, to name a few.
