Physical Properties:

Medium: Used for general purpose repair and maintenance blasting including removal of paint, rust, mill scale, and other coatings from surfaces. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 1/4″ and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 3.0-4.8 Mil profile.

Fine: Utilized for new construction, light paint and rust removal and special maintenance applications requiring reduced profiles. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 3/16” and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 2.0-3.8 Mil profile.

Superfine:  Applicable for light blasting requiring a clean surface and minimum anchor profile including brush-off blast or high-pressure water blast systems. Minimum suggested nozzle size of 1/8” and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 1.0-2.6 Mil profile.

Elite: If a project requires a specialized or superior blasting abrasive, PreRish Tri Exim Pvt. Limited (PEPL) can provide instant assistance. Using our proprietary processes and superior blending capabilities, we can fine-tune your PEPL blasting media to Elite gradations. Contact PEPL for immediate assistance.

Security Specification: PEPL abrasive meets this security specification, which requires non-metallic abrasive materials, used in the blast cleaning of metal surfaces and glass reinforced plastic surfaces. This includes ships’ hulls and tanks, for removing rust, scale, old paint and marine growth and to provide surfaces that are clean and suitable for painting.

Typical Applications:

PEPL blasting abrasive applications span a wide range of industries and applications to remove surface coatings and contaminants such as rust, paint, and scale.

It is used frequently as a blasting abrasive on seafaring vessels, tanks, aggregate exposure, castings, structural steel, buildings, railroad equipment and bridges.

PEPL roofing granules can be found throughout the asphalt shingle, modified bitumen, and foam urethane industries.4) Other uses for PEPL coal slag products encompass water filtration, mineral filter media, sealcoat aggregates and nonskid coatings, to name a few.
